Shere Community Water Project

Bringing clean and reliable water closer to the community — improving health, hygiene and daily life for residents of Shere, Abuja through infrastructure and education.

The problem

Many communities lack a consistent and clean water supply, forcing residents to travel long distances for water that is often unsafe — affecting health, hygiene and productivity.

Our approach

We combined water infrastructure development with community engagement and education on clean water, good hygiene practices and responsible use of shared resources, working in partnership with Foundation 1808, Mee & Cee Foundation and Ghana Aid Foundation.

Who we support

Residents of Shere Community, Abuja — 150 residents directly supported and 300 households benefiting from improved water access.

Activities

  • Installing and commissioning community water infrastructure points
  • Community engagement sessions on clean water and hygiene practices
  • Education on responsible use and maintenance of shared water resources
  • Ongoing partnership with local organisations to sustain the project
